Volvo has long been at the forefront of safety technology. Now Volvo Cars USA hopes to lead the way in the EV market as well.

While some have been hesitant to embrace electric vehicles, Volvo has seen EVs as the present, not the future, of automobiles. Volvo’s dedication to offering efficient, real-world electric vehicles is being rewarded as evidenced by the recent sales data provided by Volvo Cars U.S.A.

This new report for January, 2023 shows a 24% increase in the number of plug-in electric vehicles sold year-over-year. Recharge vehicles also accounted for over 30% of Volvos sold in the United States.

This is a trend we have seen at Volvo Cars Dublin. While Plug-in Hybrid models like the XC90, EX60, and S60 still remain popular, electric Volvo vehicles like the C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge, have risen in demand. Pre-orders for the all-new, evolutionary EX90 also speak to demand for EV vehicles.

Anders Gustafsson, Senior Vice President and President and CEO, Volvo Cars USA said, “Volvo is running full steam ahead toward being fully electric by 2030. We are energized as more and more people choose to buy, lease and subscribe to Volvo cars.”

Volvo Cars Dublin is proud to be a part of this environmentally conscious movement. We are excited to welcome the Volvo EX90 in early 2024. This vehicle is intended to be the flagship of the Volvo line and will cement Volvo as a leader in the EV space.

If you live anywhere in Dublin, Fremont, or Manteca and are interested in driving a Volvo electric vehicle, the Presidents’ Day Sales Event is going on now at Volvo Cars Dublin. There are special incentives for both EVs, as well as the entire selection of new 2023 Volvo vehicles including Volvo Plug-in Hybrids.
