Keep Your Volvo Running its Best

At Volvo Cars Dublin, our Service Department features expert, certified technicians who are trained to service and maintain your Volvo. Whether you’re driving a Volvo mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or EV, schedule an appointment and we can perform a multi-point inspection of your Volvo before you hit the road. Some of the areas we check are:

  • Fluids: We top off all fluid levels and perform a visual inspection to ensure there are no leaks.
  • Belts and Hoses: We’ll take a look to make sure all of your belts and hoses are in good operating shape. If there are any issues, we can replace them with genuine Volvo parts.
  • Tires: Our Service pros will check tire pressure and inspect them for wear and any damage. Tires are especially important in EV vehicles as improper pressure can affect driving range.
  • Cooling System: Besides checking the coolant, we can check for leaks and flush and replace your old coolant if needed.
  • Batteries: The Service Technicians at Volvo Cars Dublin can check your battery and charging system and make sure everything is operating properly. We will advise you if we suspect that your battery may need replacing.
  • Lights: Whether you drive a Volvo XC40 SUV, XC60 mild hybrid, or S90 sedan, all of your Volvo’s lights are important to your safety. That’s why our technicians will inspect your headlights, brake lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, and interior lights.

Pack Smart

Depending on the length and route of your trip, at Volvo Cars Dublin we think you should consider packing a few items in your Volvo car, SUV, or wagon before hitting the road.

  • Phones: Most of us have our cell phones on us at all times but don’t forget to bring a car charger. It’s also a good idea to enter your destination into your favorite GPS app before leaving home.
  • Drinks and Food: It’s a good idea to pack a few bottles of water and some non-perishable snacks, especially if you have little ones. Pain relievers (acetaminophen /ibuprofen), allergy medications, tissues, and hand wipes can all come in handy.
  • Safety: You hope to never need them but a basic first aid kit, jumper cables, and road flares can be vital.
  • Miscellaneous: Some additional items that are good to have on-hand are flashlights, a tire pressure gauge, and physical maps in case you are out of cell range or your phone runs out of charge.

Summer Trip Tips

While some pieces of advice would seem to be common knowledge, we’d like to reiterate a few we think are important:

  • Never leave children or pets unattended in a hot car. Even if you roll the windows down, your vehicle can become uncomfortably, or even dangerously, hot very quickly.
  • Don’t drive impaired. Even being over-tired can lead to issues on the road. While Volvo makes some of the safest, smartest vehicles nothing can overcome bad judgment.
  • Plan your route. Familiarize yourself with your travel route. If you own a Volvo plug-in hybrid (like the XC90 Recharge or S60 Recharge) or an Electric vehicle (C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge), you can use the in-car Google maps or the Volvo Cars app to find charging stations.

At Volvo Cars Dublin, we aren’t just committed to providing great Volvo vehicles and top-notch Service. We want to ensure that you get the most out of your driving experience.
